Position Overview

As the Business Development Representative, you will provide key outbound prospecting and lead development for Thingtrax across the UK&I and Europe. You will be knowledgeable in SaaS software and the manufacturing industry and be able to exhibit the knowledge and confidence needed to establish Thingtrax as a potential vendor / partner.

Responsibilities

  • Engaging in conversations of value given the research and understanding of the prospect.
  • Creating opportunities within prospects by illustrating areas for improvement, visibility and efficiency gains that can be driven by the Thingtrax solution.
  • Scoping target accounts and relevant contacts that fit Thingtrax’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
  • Working alongside Account Executives to set meetings and penetrate targeted accounts.
  • Converting potential leads into sales accepted opportunities (SAO’s)
  • Navigating past ‘Gatekeepers’ to gain access to the relevant person/s in the prospective organisation hierarchy, while understanding where the decision makers are located.
  • Understanding the functional competitive advantages of the Thingtrax solution set and customise messaging to gain traction into accounts.
  • Providing a high level of communication, via outbound calling, email, social media and attending industry events to engage prospects.
  • Using a range of technologies and automation tools to build bespoke, highly targeted messaging campaigns to support pipeline development.
  • Ability to ask probing questions to uncover needs, learn more about the prospect, and better qualify how we can help them.
  • Keeping accurate electronic records of calls and contacts and update prospect status within Thingtrax contact management system and CRM.
  • Communicate internally the status of all outreach KPI’s and set meetings.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working in telemarketing / BDR / SDR in the software industry.
  • Experience selling to the manufacturing (food and beverage) sector a plus but not compulsory.
  • Self-starter and ability to work remotely without the need for micro-management.
  • Able to quickly learn new solutions and embraces training enhance product and industry knowledge.
  • Brings a structured, targeted, process driven and strategic approach to business development. This will be different to other BDR roles as it is not scatter-gun sales for quick wins, some accounts will need to be nurtured and educated over time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific emphasis on telephone skills.
  • Experience with CRM and pipeline development tools (such as Hubspot, Lusha, Cognism, Pipedrive).
